The back feet will need nails trimmed more often than the front. It is better to have two people until you get the hang of it. One person should hold the hedgehog in their hand and let a foot drop down, then gently hold onto the foot and allow the other person to trim the nails.

Be careful to avoid cutting the quick. If there is any blood, you can use styptic powder, flour or cornstarch to stop the bleeding.
